In India K-8 is rising really fast. The previous Minister for Education was instrumental in introducing ‘HOTS’ or ‘higher order thinking skills’, specially into the k-8 segment. With this major step combined with a few others, the Indian k-8 education content is slowly becoming at par with its global equivalents.
The last few years have also seen the rise of Global IB schools, Cambridge checkpoints, PYP and MYP programs in India. With this dimension added to the educational sector, it is the need of the hour for CBSE schools to go in for objective learning with weekly and monthly performance and knowledge mapping being carried out in schools.
This creates the opportunity for all the global players to enter the k-8 segment in India, with their researched GCSE or IB content adapted to fit the CBSE curriculum.
